Vacationers at the Bitter End Yacht Club last weekend got the chance

to take home a memorable souvenir of their Virgin Islands visit, provided they had plenty of spare cash and a dock.

BEYC’s Quarterdeck Marina hosted 19 boats up for sale by private owners from Thursday to Sunday as part of its first annual BVI Yacht Brokerage Showcase.

The event was geared toward the resort’s guests and VI residents interested in boat ownership, according to Carine Locher, BEYC’s marina manager.

The show gave prospective boat buyers the chance to “have a peek at all kinds of boats,” Ms. Locher said.

“There’s monohulls, catamarans, power and sailboats, so they can ask the brokers which ones are better and which ones are not so good depending on what they aim for,” she added.

The show brought in three VI-based yacht brokers – BVI Yacht Sales, The Moorings and 123Hulls – whose clients displayed the boats during the four-day show.
