Pianist and singer Corky Siegel will return to the territory to lead a chamber blues

performance at 8 p.m. on Saturday at the Eileene L. Parsons Auditorium at the H. Lavity Stoutt Community College.

 

Mr. Siegel has earned a reputation as one of the “world’s great blues harmonica masters,” according to HLSCC.

During his Saturday performance, he will be accompanied by Frank Donaldson on percussion, Jocelyn Butler on cello, Aurelien Fort-Pederzoli and Chihsuan Yang on violin, and Dave Moss on viola.

The band will also perform a student outreach show, titled “Music and the Joy of Diversity with Corky Siegel,” at 10 a.m. Friday at the auditorium. Entry will be free for students and teachers from invited schools.
