Not all of the more than 3,300 Virgin Islands public servants are members of the VI Civil Service Association, but the group fights for the recognition, welfare and improvement of the entire civil service, according to a press release from the VISCA.

VICSA members will vote on a new executive board Feb. 22, with polling stations at the Central Administration Building breezeway and near the Public Works and Water and Sewerage departments, the release stated.

The release also stated that the association recently achieved one of its long-time goals: holding a meet-and-greet for members, legislators and other officials.

Governor Boyd McCleary thanked the association for its “constructive proposals,” according to the statement.

Public officers can join the organisation by submitting a form found on www.virginislandscsa.com, or by calling Stephen McMaster, VICSA acting president, at 468-3701, extension 2213.
