The First District and the Virgin Islands Party have a long history together, and party candidates are asking voters in that district to keep up the tradition and re-elect Andrew Fahie.

At the education and culture minister’s campaign launch in Cappoons Bay Saturday night, Mr. Fahie said he plans to redevelop the West End waterfront, modernise the Cappoons Bay Clinic and open a new post office in Carrot Bay. The new post office will open “in a few days,” Mr. Fahie said, adding that it will include an Internet café and a place for residents do money transfers.

“This is your man on a mission,” Mr. Fahie said.
