The firm Rosan Law said in a press release Monday that Magistrate Charmaine Rosan-Bunbury has been interdicted from duty and has instructed the firm to file an application for judicial review, seeking reinstatement to her office and damages.

The application was filed Monday, Ms. Rosan-Bunbury’s husband, Alec Bunbury, said Tuesday.

Sheryl Rosan, of Rosan Law, said Ms. Rosan-Bunbury had asked that the application not be made public.

“As regards the application, the client is refusing to disclose that,” Ms. Rosan said.

The application was not yet available from the High Court Registry.

The interdiction has been reported widely in the VI media for several weeks, but officials declined to confirm it.

Ms. Rosan-Bunbury “has also deposed to the hostile working environment endured and strained working relations with Senior Magistrate Valerie Stephens,” and to the role of DGO Permanent Secretary David Archer in the matter, according to the release.
