In an eight-to-one verdict on Friday, a High Court jury found a 31-year-old Greenland man guilty of wounding another man during a November 2011 shooting in Crabbe Lot, but not guilty of attempted murder.

Wakima Lettsome had previously been charged with attempted murder and wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. The wounding charge carries a maximum sentence of life imprisonment.

Justice Albert Redhead, who presided over the trial, is scheduled to sentence Mr. Lettsome on Nov. 30.

The charges arose from a Nov. 18, 2011 incident in which Jonathan Colaire, who was standing outside a bar in Crabbe Lot, was shot.
