Akino Andraes Norford, 20, pleaded guilty to two counts of burglary in Magistrates’ Court Friday, in connection with two residential break-ins in Johnsons Ghut.

Jewellery and electronics were stolen in both instances, and in one, $650 cash and a passport were also stolen, said Crown Counsel Sarah Benjamin. One burglary allegedly took place during the day, and one allegedly took place during the night while the victim was asleep, she said.

Mr. Norford, an employee of the BVI Football Association, apologised to Magistrate Tamia Richards, asking the court to show leniency and explaining that he has a 4-month-old daughter to care for.
