Governor Boyd McCleary has issued election writs calling for Polling Day to be held on Nov. 7 and Nomination Day to be held Oct. 24, according to a Wednesday press release from the Deputy Governor’s Office.

Governor Boyd McCleary issued the writs to formally instruct the 10 returning elections officers to carry out their duties on both days, and to report the results of the elections by Nov. 8.

The issue of the writs started the three-day window for Elections Supervisor Juliette Penn to publish the final version of the voters’ list. The preliminary voters’ list was available for public inspection last month.
