A Dominican Republic man was murdered outside a bar in Sea Cows Bay on Friday night, police said.
Officers were called to the scene following a report around 9:40 p.m. and found the body of Riky Dennis Bautista Familia, a 38-year-old who resided in Long Bush, in front of the bar, according to a police press release.
He was pronounced dead at the scene after suffering a stab wound to the abdomen, Police Information Officer Diane Drayton said.
Two people were taken into custody and questioned in relation to the incident but were later released without being charged. Police are still interested in speaking to Alberto Rosa Dela Rosa, also known as “Piyoyo,” according to the release.
Police Commissioner David Morris said that while there have recently been two criminal deaths, such incidents are rare in the territory and must be kept at a minimum.
