Officers responding to a “domestic incident” at about 3 a.m. on Saturday morning recovered two revolvers and 44 rounds of 0.38 caliber ammunition from a Prospect Reef home, police said.

Neil Dabreo, 37, was charged with two counts of unlawful possession of a firearm and one count of unlawful possession of explosives in relation to the bullets.

According to a police press release, no one was injured in the incident. The force assigned a liaison officer and alerted members of the Crisis Intervention Team to assist Mr. Dabreo’s family.

Police responded to the incident after being mobilised from the recently activated control room at the Road Town Police Station, the first time the facility has been used in an operation, according to the release.
