The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force carried out its final drug destruction operation of the year on Dec. 21 at the Pockwood Pond incinerator.

The RVIPF destroyed 114 kilograms of cocaine.

Prior to being destroyed, the drugs were analysed, photographed and logged for evidence purposes, according to a police press release.

The Special Investigation Unit conducted the recording and counting aided by a member of the Police Service Commission and armed officers of the Tactical Firearm Unit.
