Early Thursday morning a man riding a scooter was thrown to the ground after colliding with another vehicle on the Sir Walter Francis Drive.
Brandon George, 18, was treated at the scene by emergency responders, but died Thursday night while receiving treatment at Peebles Hospital, police said Friday.
Officers responded to the scene in the eastbound lane of the highway near One Mart where Mr. George had collided with a Mitsubishi pickup driven by Answorth Eusebe, 35, according to a police press release.
Family members are aware and the coroner has been informed, the release said.
“Police investigations continue, but anyone with information, or [those] who may have witnessed the collision, are requested to contact the police non-emergency number: 311,” according to the release.
