Puerto Rico: The Bomba and Arts Festival in Puerto Rico begins today and ends on Monday.
USVI: The Water Island Music Festival near St. Thomas begins this evening at around 7 p.m. The event, which lasts until Sunday, will feature performers including Carnegie Hall pianist Julian Gargiulo and violinist Hae Ji Kim. Ferries depart St. Thomas from Crown Bay Marina at 5:15 p.m. and 6 p.m. Call 340-514-9995.

Health fair: The BVI Red Cross will host a men’s health fair today and tomorrow from 6 a.m.-3 p.m. at Johns Hole. There will be chiropractic consultations, exercise demonstrations, and prostate cancer screening.
Drinks: Anything Goes on Virgin Gorda will host a customer appreciation day from 2 p.m. There will be specials on drinks all day. VIBE will perform, and DJ Wiz will be behind the turntable.

Saturday
Walk: The Saturday Morning Walkers will meet at 5:15 a.m. at Big Ben’s Superette in West End, then walk to Smugglers Cove and back. More details on their routes are posted on the Facebook page “We Walk.”
Expo: The Early Act Club of Road Town will host a career expo and fun day for primary school children at the Noel Lloyd Positive Action Movement Park from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Party: Harbour View Marina Restaurant and Bar hosts Too Smooth Saturdays from 6 p.m. There will be a deejay behind the turntable, as well as a performance by Too Smooth Band.
