Church: Transformation Church International in East End will host a youth event tagged “The Encounter” at 7:30 p.m.

Puerto Rico: The Danza Week Period Ball takes place today at the La Perla Theatre in Ponce. The event celebrates Puerto Rican dance and music.

USVI: Sunset Jazz takes place from 5-7 p.m. on the Fredericksted Waterfront on St. Croix. There will be live music, food and drinks for sale. Admission is free.

Island culture: Scrub Island hosts “Leeward Meets Windward” from 7-9:45 p.m. There will be a display of Caribbean arts and crafts and a buffet.

Quiz: It’s Trivia and Quiz Night at the Tamarind Club at 7:30 p.m. The winning team gets free Sunday brunch for four.

Saturday

Race: The Community Mental Health Centre will host the Incredible Race today. Based on the television show “The Amazing Race,” the contest will start at 7 a.m. at the Noel Lloyd Positive Action Movement Park. The cost is $200 for a four-member team. A family fun day will follow at the park, starting at 11 a.m.

Concert: An “Old Fashion Gospel Concert” will be held at the East End/ Long Look Community Centre from 3:30 p.m. as part of Senior Citizens Month. Tickets cost $5.

Cuisine: Plum Rose at Prospect Reef hosts Prime Rib Night, with specials on drinks. Call 494-3033.

Happy hour: Head to Da Spot in Baughers Bay for happy hour from 5-7 p.m. There will be specials on drinks and wings.

Sunday

Puerto Rico: The Comerio Expo takes place today at the downtown area in Comerio. There will be artisans with work on display, food tastings, music and more.

Health screening: As part of activities for Senior Citizens’ Month, there will be a health screening at the Road Town Senior Centre from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Drinks: It’s Margarita Monday at Myett’s Garden & Grille. Al Broderick will perform at 6 p.m. There will be specials on drinks and $5 quesadillas, nachos, chicken flautas and fish tacos.

Happy hour: Foxy’s in Jost Van Dyke has happy hour every day from 4-6 p.m., with specials on drinks.

Tuesday

Open house: The Adina Donovan Home for the Elderly hosts an open house today from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
