Two belongers were arrested on August 11 for illegal entry and breach of curfew, according to a police press release issued the same day.
Police said they spotted a small vessel traveling through the Sir Francis Drake Channel and heading towards Frenchmans Cay with two men aboard.
Officers then approached the men — Pedro Julio Samuel, 35, of Cane Garden Bay, and Danny Dennevil, 24, of Lower Estate — after they were observed leaving the vessel and walking towards a parked vehicle, according to the press release.
“They remain in custody pending their appearance at the Magistrates’ Court,” the release stated.
Police Information Officer Akia Thomas said that she had “no information on where they were traveling from,” and could not confirm whether they were tested for Covid-19.
