A sports bar at the Virgin Gorda recreation ground was allegedly burgled sometime on March 30 while the previous six-day curfew was in effect, said Police Information Officer Akia Thomas.

No arrests have been made, Ms. Thomas said, though she did not respond to questions about what damages were incurred during the burglary, what items were taken, or whether police have any leads on potential suspects.

Ms. Thomas did not issue a press release about the incident, though she confirmed basic information.

Before last Thursday, there had been eight arrests and 24 reports for breach of curfew, according to Police Commissioner Michael Matthews.

Since then at least two more curfew arrests were made, as officers with the Marine Unit arrested two men Friday for breach of curfew and other offences.
