Poetry: The Virgin Islands Callaloo Poets will host their monthly Open Mic Night from 7:30 p.m. at Mellow Moods Café. Lasana Sekou, from House of Nehesi Publishers in St. Martin, will attend. The publisher is currently accepting submissions for an anthology of VI poets.

Walk: The Saturday Morning Walkers will meet at 5:15 a.m. at Enis Adams Primary School, and then walk to Sage Mountain and back. More details on their routes are posted on the Facebook page “We Walk.”

Health fair: The Rotary Club of Road Town will host a health fair at the Noel Lloyd Positive Action Movement Park from 7 a.m. There will be free cholesterol and blood-sugar tests, among others.

Brunch: Caribbean Posh magazine will host the “Girl Power Brunch” at Scrub Island from 11 a.m. Former Miss United States Virgin Islands Janeisha John will host the event. Tickets cost $75. Call 394-3440.

Hike: Ron Beard will host a book signing and hike from 10 a.m. to noon at Sage Mountain. During the event, he will officially launch his hiking guide for the Virgin Islands.
