Happy hour: Take a drive to Cane Garden Bay for live music during happy hour at Quito’s Gazebo. It’s also TGIF at the Royal BVI Yacht Club from 12-5 p.m. DJ Dre will be behind the turntable at the Calypso Café happy hour, which starts at 5 p.m.

Volunteering: Join Rotaractors today from 5:30 p.m. for their weekly meeting at the Ward Building in Road Town. The group of young volunteers welcomes ages 18-30.

Saturday

Youth rally: The Ministry of Education and Culture and Lion Heart will host a youth rally at the Sir Rupert Briercliffe Hall at 2 p.m.

Carnival: The adult parade will be held today at the St. Thomas Carnival. The event is well worth a trip across the water.

Yard sale: The Humane Society of the BVI will hold a yard sale today from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Johnsons Ghut.

Party: It’s the Cosmic Bowling Party at U.P.’s Cineplex from 10 p.m. A guest DJ will be behind the turntables.

Sports: Extra calories to burn? Today might be the right day for you to do something about it. Wake up early and join the exercisers who jog and walk in the morning.

Sunday

Flowers: The BVI Hibiscus Society will hold its monthly meeting today at 3 p.m. at the J. R. O’Neal Botanic Gardens.

Karaoke: Feel free to carry your own musical key tonight at Nexus Café. Gadiethz will host karaoke from 7 p.m.

Tuesday

Dance: Free dance lessons are offered by Sarah Penney and friends at the Spy Glass Lounge at Treasure Isle beginning at about 7:30 p.m.

Music: Head to Bananakeet Café Wednesday and Friday nights for an opportunity to hear local singer and 12-string guitarist Reuben Chinnery perform at 6 p.m. Arrive by 4 p.m. and you can enjoy happy hour until 6 daily.
