More than a hundred teenagers from the Virgin Islands, Anguilla and the United States VI entertained a packed house at the Eileene L. Parsons Auditorium on Friday and Saturday, treating the crowd to two nights of music and drama. For several hours each night, the teens performed skits and songs as part of the Church of God of Holiness’ Eastern Caribbean Youth Talent Extravaganza.

In addition to the skits and songs the teenagers produced themselves, some participants also recited Bible verses for the audience during the show.

On Saturday, teenagers from Tortola, Virgin Gorda, St. Croix, St. Thomas and Anguilla took turns performing skits that aimed to demonstrate their Bible knowledge. After the skits, they returned in groups, dressed in uniforms, ready to sing.

The two-day talent show was designed to test the “spiritual vitality,” of the church’s youths, according to Phillip Gumbs, who oversees the Church of God of Holiness’ Eastern Caribbean District.
