“It’s been growing — it’s been growing really fast,” Ethan Elwin Lee said at Fish ’N Lime on Saturday night. Just behind him, darts flew through the air, sticking firmly into three dartboards set up against a whitewashed wall at one end of the restaurant. “And as you can see, it’s packed tonight.”

Dozens of people split into 12 teams — including the Chum Buckets, Rum ’N Stuff, Ruthless, Da Bombers, Projectile Dysfunction, and other groups with more off-colour names — competed for the first place trophy in a darts tournament at the West End restaurant Saturday night.

Mr. Lee, who also goes by DJ Dolphin, helped organise the event and provided entertainment.

He said the tournament was a success, and that there would be plenty more to come.

Part of the proceeds of the tournament Saturday was donated to support VI Search and Rescue, which entered a team.
