More than 180 students and former students of the Elmore Stoutt High School took a turn on stage on Saturday during the school’s Spring Concert at the Sir Rupert Briercliffe Hall.

Lelia Burke, head of the ESHS music department, tagged the concert a success.

“I think it was good. It was well attended despite the weather,” Ms. Burke said. “The community supported us well.”

This year, there were more students participating in the concert than last year, according to the music department head. There were several pieces performed by the school’s choir, steel pan band, boys group, jazz ensemble and others, Ms. Burke explained.

Among pieces performed by the steel pan band was a gospel medley, “Time Of My Life,” by the Black Eyed Peas.
