With face painting, live music and exhibitions of plants, crafts and fine art, the National Parks Trust’s annual flower show at the J.R. O’Neal Botanic Gardens has grown into an event for the whole community.

In addition to competitions for plants and blooms, the NPT, whose mission includes conservation of the territory’s natural and cultural resources, also held a recycled crafts competition for students.

Representatives from Green VI and the Jost Van Dykes Preservation Society were also on hand to talk to attendees about waste reduction and some of the territory’s 200 bird species.
