By his own admission when he took the stand during a trial on Jan. 14, Marlon Senhouse was found guilty of using insulting language and giving a false name to police.

He was also found guilty of resisting arrest when he appeared in court on Tuesday. However, Magistrate Dr. Velon John acquitted him on a more serious charge of assaulting a police officer.

The defendant was given 48 hours to pay a $100 fine for using insulting language and $200 for resisting arrest. In default he was sentenced to four days and seven days in prison, respectively.

Along with Mr. Senhouse, both police officers involved in the matter, Marvin Robinson and Wendell Anthony, gave evidence during the trial.
