As heavy showers drenched the territory on Monday morning, public schools were closed and the Department of Disaster Management announced that a “low-level trough system” will continue to generate unstable weather across the territory throughout the day.

Showers and thunderstorms are likely for the next 24 hours, DDM stated in a Facebook post at about 9 a.m. Monday.

Another system is expected to move across the territory late Tuesday, bringing similar weather conditions.

“Otherwise,” DDM added, “mostly dry weather will prevail with at most a moderate chance of showers.”

Seas are moderate with heights not exceeding five feet, according to the agency.
